Simple Proof that God Exists

How can we know beyond any doubt that God exist?
Do we just have to assume it on sheer faith?

Some of us, despite a lifetime of profession of belief in God, sometimes experience doubt about God’s existence. There are two basic reasons for this doubt:

The popular TV host, Oprah is bothered by the idea that God is a “jealous God”. Because of this she began looking elsewhere – and ended up embracing the “new age” teaching [see video]. Oprah is just one of the many who are bothered and turned off by the thought of a “jealous God”.

Let’s face it, there are verses in the Bible that use the word “jealous” to describe God. Does that mean that God is some mean, self-centered being? Isn’t jealousy negative and immature – and indicative of some kind of insecurity? What does the Bible mean by a “jealous God”?

In a 2005 Gallup poll nearly 80% of Americans are convinced that God exists. Only 1% are sure that God does not exist. Yet in most discussions of national and world problems – or even personal problems, God hardly seriously come into the picture. It is as if God is irrelevant or so far off to even bother about man’s urgent problems such as wars, terrorism, natural disasters, worsening epidemic of AIDS and other diseases. This clearly shows that God is not so real to most people today. But why?
